Ramos Consulting, LLC seeks an energetic, highly motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter to join our Houston, TX staff as a Transportation Engineer I.


Typical duties and responsibilities of this position are:


Support project manager and team with:


  • Planning & Conceptual Design

  • Preliminary engineering

  • Final design

  • PS&E preparation

  • Cost estimates

  • Design review

  • Utility coordination

  • Occasional out of town travel for project meetings, field investigations, and data collection and to collaborate with clients and project team members in other TxDOT offices.


The appropriately qualified candidate will have the following core competencies, qualifications and required experience:


  • Professional Engineer in the State of Texas, or the licensure in another state and the ability to obtain Texas PE within 6 months

  • TxDOT transportation design experience

  • B.S. in Engineering, plus 4 to 7 years total experience in related field

  • Good technical writing, computer, and communication skills

  • Proficient in of Microstation, GEOPAK, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel out-of-town for occasional project meetings, to perform field data collection and to conduct field investigations
